WHERE IT STARTED
Friends Barb and Fi started Beachkit at Omaha in 2012 with a simple idea: beach gear should be good enough to last more than one summer.
More than a decade on, that is still the test for everything we sell.

HOW WE WORK
We sell online rather than running shops, which keeps our costs, and your prices, lower. We source our range with an Australian partner.
The one cost we can’t control is freight. Courier rates around New Zealand are high, especially for long, bulky parcels like umbrellas. So we show delivery costs on every product page, before you get to checkout.
WHO WE ARE
In 2025, Barb and Fi handed Beachkit over to their friends Linda and Cindy, from Pauanui. We are a small team, and questions come straight to us at info@beachkit.co.nz.
You can also find part of our range at stockists around the upper North Island.
WHAT WE SELL
Beach umbrellas, market umbrellas, chairs, mats and a few extras. We would rather stock fewer things that hold up than a lot that don’t.
