Our Products
What makes Beachkit umbrellas special?
Beachkit umbrellas are designed for durability, functionality, and maximum sun protection.
- UPF 50+ rating — blocking at least 98% of harmful UV rays (tested to AUS/NZ standards).
- Lightweight (approx. 2.5kg) yet sturdy with anodised, rust-resistant poles.
- Quick Twist Anchoring System — locks securely into sand.
- 3-way tilt feature — adjust shade easily as the sun moves.
- Designed with wind vents and premium materials for long life.
What is the Quick Twist Anchoring System?
A screw-like auger at the base of the pole twists deep into the sand to keep your umbrella firmly anchored. This prevents umbrellas from tipping or blowing away.
How does the 3-way tilt feature work?
Press the button just below the sliding hub to tilt the canopy in three directions. This lets you adjust your shade as the sun shifts throughout the day.
How do I use the tilt feature on my crank umbrella?
Our crank-lift umbrellas are designed with a simple “crank-and-tilt” system:
- Open the umbrella fully by turning the crank handle until the canopy is completely extended.
- Once fully open, continue turning the crank — this activates the tilt mechanism.
- The canopy will gradually tilt to the side, allowing you to adjust shade as the sun moves.
- To return the umbrella to the upright position, reverse-crank slowly until the canopy straightens.
👉 Tip: Always tilt away from the wind direction to protect the frame and extend the life of your umbrella.
What size umbrella stand do I need?
Standard umbrella stand is fine. Beachkit poles are standard 32–38mmPatio/market umbrellas we recommend: 275cm canopy: minimum 15–20kg base 335cm canopy: minimum 25–30kg base
Do you sell replacement canopies?
Yes, we sell replacement canopies in two sizes only: 275cm and 335cm.
- Before ordering, please measure your umbrella frame carefully to ensure a correct fit.
- Open your umbrella fully and measure one rib end-to-end, then multiply by 2 to find the canopy’s diameter (e.g., a 9-foot umbrella).
- Always measure with the umbrella open and fully extended — sizes are based on canopy width, not pole height.
- A tolerance of 5cm wriggle room is acceptable, but measuring first will save you the inconvenience of returns.
Do you sell replacement poles and bags?
Yes — spare poles and carry bags can be ordered online.

Ordering Online
Can I modify or cancel my order?
We process orders quickly. If you need to change or cancel, email info@beachkit.co.nz immediately. Once dispatched, changes are not possible.
Do you offer pre-orders?
Yes, from time to time. If an item is available for pre-order, the product page will clearly state the estimated dispatch timeframe.
Do you restock products during the season?
Generally, no. The stock we receive at the start of the season is what we have available. We work hard to keep our stock levels up to date, but demand moves fast — especially when stockist orders come in. Once an item is sold out, it’s usually unavailable again until the following season.

How long does delivery take?
- North Island (main centres): 2–3 working days
- North Island (Waiheke, Great Barrier): allow longer
- South Island (main centres): 4–7 working days
- Rural deliveries: up to 5 working days
Orders placed before 2pm on weekdays are processed same-day. Orders placed after 2pm are processed the next business day.
What are your delivery costs?
- Northland: $10–$20 depending on weight
- Auckland Region: $6–$15 depending on weight
- Waiheke & Great Barrier: $10–$40 depending on weight
- North Island (Taupo North): $10–$20 depending on weight

- North Island Rural: $15–$39 depending on weight
- South Island: $15–$46 depending on weight
Important: If you live on Waiheke or Great Barrier, please select Island Delivery at checkout. Incorrect zone selection will delay your order.
Why does Waiheke delivery cost more?
Unfortunately, deliveries to Waiheke Island are more expensive because they pass through multiple handling points (mainland courier, ferry service, then local courier). This increases the cost compared to standard mainland deliveries.
Our courier partner Post Haste sets the rates, and currently delivery to Waiheke is $32.50 for parcels up to 25kg / 0.125m³.
How can I track my order?
When your order is dispatched, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number. Track via our courier partner Post Haste: Track here.
